Hi there, like our A1CS X220 review today we are reviewing another budget entry level Android tablet. Today is the turn of the Tabtech M010S 7″ Android tablet.
This is a great tablet for those looking for a compact machine that is easily portable but has all the processing power you need. Those on a budget with a need for an extremely portable Android tablet need look no further. The 7 inch screen is large enough for all applications, watching movies, and surfing the ‘net.
Tabtech M010S Tech Spec
Let’s look through the technical details of the device. I’ve already mentioned the 7″screen which is a resistive LCD touch screen with a 800 X 480 pixel resolution. The resistive touch screen is never going to be as good as the one on more expensive devices but we found it did a great job at responding to our gestures and found little issue.
It has the Google Android 2.2 operating system build in and all Market place apps will work on this device. You will have access to the whole Android market such as Facebook, youtube, BBC i-Player, Hulu, Twitter. The Dolphin internet browser is included and will run all sites including having Flash 10.1 installed. So you can view some sites on this device that you cannot view on the ipad ! Take that Apple !
The Tabtech comes with 2GB onboard out the box and can easily be upgraded to a max of 16GB with additional SD card. This makes moving data to and from the Tabtech easy and fuss free. No messing around with specific software such as i-tunes. You can just upload any movies or music you want ! Speaking of music; the speaker in the Tabtech M010S are not the best, it produces a pretty loud sound but we would recommend you plug in a set of good headphones.
The Wi-Fi connectivity is the 802.11 b/g type and not the latest type. However, we found it will work with majority of Wi-Fi hubs with no issue. The range is pretty good too. You won’t find any GPS on this device but at this price point you really shouldn’t be expecting it.
